WE CAME, WE SWAM, WE CONQUERED!!

When the   LA Swim Club - Lethbridge Swimming   was first formed back in 1938, it was a ragtag group of volunteers and swimming hopefuls who sensed a need for such a club here in the City of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada..

Since those early days when swim meets were still being held at Henderson Lake, the club has evolved into an organization that has produced world-class atheles while continuing to develop swimming skills among children ranging from 5 years old elementary ages to teens in high schools and University.

LASC has a rich history of provincial, national, and international competitive swimming excellence. The construction of the Max Bell Regional Aquatic Centre at the University of Lethbridge has provided the club with an outstanding facility to further promote fitness and excellence in swimming.

The Club celebrated it's 60th Anniversary in 1998 with the hosting of the Alberta Provincial Championship. The Lethbridge community rallied their volunteer spirit in support of the prestigious event. We are well received in the swimming community for our great facility, excellent coaching staff, warm hospitality, and overwhelming volunteer spirits.

We sincerely thank the following "Friends of LASC" who have continually provided their great support during our swim competition event hostings. Your efforts are very, very much appreciated:
  • Excalibur Swim Team
  • LA Masters Synchro Club
  • Lethbridge Diving Club
  • Lethbridge Masters Swim Club
  • Lethbridge Summer Swim Club
  • Lethbridge Synchrobelles
  • University of Lethbridge Swim Team
Thanks
